Announcement

Dear Friends and Clients of The Dance Station:

Working with your children for the past year and a half has been a wonderful experience for me and for my staff. When I look at your precious children each week as they walk in the door, my heart is filled with so much love for them. Thank you for the opportunity to know you and your children! You are truly blessed to have these wonderful, talented, amazing and beautiful kids in your lives!

I recently found out that my application to law school has been accepted by not just one--but four law schools! My first semester of law school will begin January 4, 2010. With the holiday season right around the corner, I have so little time to decide where to attend, pack, move, register for classes, complete reading assignments, and settle in before starting this new chapter of my life.

Beginning November 20, 2009, Abbey Prihoda will become the new Managing Director/Owner of The Dance Station. Many of you know Miss Prihoda. She has been teaching her own classes on Mondays at the studio. Abbey will soon begin her second semester at Texas A&M University, where she is studying dance. I feel that she has been a wonderful asset to The Dance Station as an Instructor, and she plans to make a career of teaching dance. Taylor Hagan will remain on staff as the Cheer Coach, with Rebecca Davis as an Assistant Teacher for many classes, as usual. Abbey will be responsible for the supervision of Taylor and all other staff. If you paid by the semester, you will continue your classes, as scheduled, under Miss Prihoda’s direction. Miss Prihoda plans to host the annual recital at Brosig Auditorium as usual.

In fact, we believe that not much about your experience at The Dance Station will change. I have decided to give the business to Abbey as my gift to the community and my students- rather than closing it altogether. We anticipate classes and programs at the studio will remain very much the same due to our recent careful planning and thorough communication amongst staff members. If you are enrolled in cheer classes or competitive cheer, rest assured that Taylor Hagan has all of the choreography, music, talent, paperwork and instructions to continue the program. And of course, for any questions she or Miss Prihoda could have, I am just a phone call away!

Due to the many changes and time constraints I am under, The Dance Station will not participate in the Christmas Parade this year. Although Abbey will be the new owner as of 11/20/09, I will spend time in the studio, when possible, during the month of December to aide in the transition.

Cheer Competition will not take place December 12th. I found it difficult to justify sending the teams to competition: many teammates have outstanding tuition balances; some ordered uniforms just last week or have not ordered them at all; many parents have outstanding costume balances due from last year. However, Miss Prihoda and Taylor plan to take the girls to the regularly scheduled March 2010 competition. Uniforms were not ordered by the majority of cheerleaders by the deadline, and therefore, I was able to stop the order so that you could get your money back. If you ordered a uniform, enclosed is a refund check. If you paid with credit cards, they have not been run yet, so please don’t worry. Miss Prihoda, Taylor Hagan, and Natalie Johnson (the Varsity Rep.) plan to schedule a new uniform fitting and ordering period after the New Year. I am refunding your uniform order funds so that you can personally decide if you would like to continue the cheer program under new direction, and so that you can make better use of your funds during the ever expensive holiday season.

As usual, classes do not meet if N.I.S.D. is closed for any reason. If you would like to keep in touch with me, feel free to do so by logging onto www.legallylee.blogspot.com for pics and updates about law school. Reach Miss Prihoda by e-mail apdancestation@aol.com or by phone (936) 870-5078.

I am excited about beginning the process of pursuing a lifelong career goal of mine! In the meantime, I hope that you have a blessed holiday season with your families! Thank you again for your support and friendship. Please encourage your children to keep in touch with me because I will truly miss them!

Warm Regards,
Lee Ann Haynie
